Lehigh Valley Sierra Club AUGUST meeting MONDAY, AUGUST 14, 2017 at 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Rm 638, 6th floor, Fowler Family Southside Center, Northampton Community College, 3rd & Buchanan Streets, (south) Bethlehem (park in the NCC lot on the west side of the building), (exit elevator to your left, go down the hall to the classroom on your right). Canoe and Bicycle along the Lehigh River between Allentown and Bethlehem September 16th 12 noon to about 4 pm We will start at Keck (Canal) Park, Allentown, located just before the east end of the Hamilton Street Bridge (turn off Hamilton St. onto N. Albert St. and follow to park), with a canoe trip -- we will paddle down to Sand Island in Bethlehem, then ride bikes back to Canal Park.

Inspired by the development of walking, biking and running paths now underway in our city, a pedestrian biking bridge can serve a whole range of purposes for the City of Bethlehem. 100 Trees
Come one, Come all! Join us as we celebrate a wonderful experience in urban environmentalism! Funded by TD Green Streets and sponsored by the City of Bethlehem and volunteer organizations, the 100 Trees Project planted one hundred trees in Bethlehem parks on April 30. More than 140 volunteers participated in the planting. Over the summer, the 100 Trees Project sponsored Bethlehem Area Public Library tree story hours and funded new books on trees. Saturday, June 4, 2016 saw the second annual "Step Outdoors Lehigh Valley" community event at ArtsQuest's SteelStacks venue in south Bethlehem and LV Sierra Club was there. On Saturday, May 7, 2016, Lehigh Valley Sierra Club joined 20 area non-profit organizations at a South Bethlehem Neighborhood Festival held at Fourth and Hayes Street in Bethlehem.
